I've got loads of pics from visiting BjJiggles. Sorry if I crash anyones computer, but the land was beautiful.

I really wish I hadn't trashed the grave stones picture. BjJiggles told me I was doing it wrong, lol.

Crash my computer? If anything you should make them bigger! :awesomenod:

Were those dogs really fighting? Looks like the pit bull had a nasty cut on the leg already.

Full res. is only a click away my friend. Help me, help you.

Those dogs had a love-hate thing going on. They'd both be barking at me, then suddenly turn on eachother, then back to me. Definitely a complex relationship.

I appreciate it. For the macros I borrowed Jiggles 50mm 1.8 and paired it with my extension tubes. World of difference. You'd best believe I'll own one of those lenses very soon.

Plus it doesn't hurt to be in such a beautiful place. It's much better than Memphis scenery.

A few from my morel hunt that turned into another cool hike in the woods.  Found a sweet hidden waterfall area that I have walked near to probably 10 times previously.  And then walked up a big stream sloshing around with the pup.

My pup was chasing a possum around and it ran up a tree/branch.  Was pretty funny to watch it all go down.

From a nice long ride I did a couple days ago.

I have a Canon T3i. Don't quote me on this, but I think Tmethyl has either the 7D or 70D.

60D, with a few lens' EF 100mm macro lens, 28mm wide-angle, 55-250mm tele, the real trick is in the lighting though, I haven't been able to afford a ring flash, so I've resorted to a diffused flash and/or a ring light.

I use my cell phone, razr M, which actually takes decent pictures.  Just got a solid grad school graduation present from a good friend so I might be looking to purchase a decent camera and work on my photography skills.  I know I can get plenty of help from here so it might just happen.

Also I feel this is somewhat relevant to this thread  so I will share, but I have had the idea of creating a company called 'Adventure Southern Illinois' (or something along those lines) where I own a bunch of kayaks, canoes, mountain bikes, tents, sleeping bags, etc. and people 'hire' me to take them on adventures.  I keep thinking it is a great idea, but never know how profitable it would be.  But if I really learned the ins and outs of the area and could help people experience things they normally wouldn't be able to do tings like that.  Then slowly hire on other great people who would do the same...

This creek bed was like a mini canyon. It was an interesting landscape.

Came across this little guy digging himself a hole. not sure what happened with the focus...

There weren't many mushrooms around but I found this nice bunch of Gyms

It only flows after heavy rain. I think it might have been hand dug during the gold-rush for some sort of mining purpose... or maybe it's natural, I don't know. It's a fun place to hunt mushrooms though. Being sheltered from the sun and wind it retains more moisture than the surrounding area.

Cool shots Tim, thanks for sharing, I'm assuming that thing is sonic the hedgehog?

Some shots I took lately, from mothers day at Weeki Wachi FL, and some from last night in Daytona FL.

Peacocks are probably too mainstream  but I can't resist shooting them.
I was lucky enough to shoot him and his girl interacting.

I'm jealous you got the peacock to show its feathers, mine just walked around when I took pictures of it.  Those are superb!

Just got back from backpacking for a couple days.  I was planning on doing a ~7 day trip but the weather has been shitty this week so I am splitting it up.  It has been raining a bunch the past couple days/nights, and going on hour 7 of continuous rain today and colder weather..

And then I met my girl and her friend at a state park and camped with them. We hiked out to this rock shelter in the rain and it was a blast.  I ran around bounding from boulder to boulder for like 30 minutes, running out of breath every once in a while because I was trying to go so quickly from one end to the other without repeating the same path.  It made me feel like such a kid again for a bit.  And it was impossible to fully capture this place due to the sheer size of the it which was annoying.

And then a few flowers my rommate helped me ID.
Monarda bradburiana (Bradbury's Monarda)

Penstemon digitalis (Foxglove Beardtongue)

Aquilegia canadensis (Wild Columbine)

Aplectrum hyemale (Putty Root)

Arisaema triphyllum (Jack in the Pulpit)  The only one I knew ha
