The most secure way to chat...

Yea, yea, so we can get different instant messanging services, but anyone can view our conversations at any time!
Even www.aimencrypt.com is worthless since everyone is using the same certificate.
So, I personally think the most secure way to chat is via IRC DCC chat. Any other suggestions?

This is a good question. I'm surprised no one has brought this up before.... and if they did I missed it
Anyone willing to contribute their thoughts on this?

Whoever thought to publish a PERSONAL SECURITY CERTIFICATE is a dumbass. Now you have a few million using the same certificate, which pretty much means nothing.

stunnel and stuntour ..... ask your IRC provider to set up the details on their side. Encrypted chatting is fun - AND easy.

Using SSL in normal mIRC chat is a good way to go.

Everyone could use L2TP+IPsec to create a VPN to the same unix server then use the 'talk' command..
