Getting rid of our obscenely excessive military and military-industrial complex that would be a good start. Biggest bit of pork in the entire thing.

Obummer does counter productive crap like raising the min which simply causes more offshoring. He doesn't care, appearances are all he cares about, he knows it costs us jobs. He figures thats your problem. The sheep think he is on their side, some people never learn.

Those corporations are capitalizing on their ability to control politics.
Taking money out of politics would be unnecessary regulation and an assault on free speech.

Then why even bother with a democratic system? If the process is just about "capitalizing (with money) on their ability to control politics."
I thought the voters sent representatives to Washington to REPRESENT their interests, not just corporate powers.

Thats what its supposed to be but legal bribery has created the monster we now see. Funny how neither the dems or gop say word one about cleaning up the system and taking the money out of it. Thats because they are corrupt fucks. The media never mentions it either for the same reason. Thank goodness for the internet and the fact obummer hasn't figured out how to censor it yet.
Looks like zap passed out for today, no more entertainment until tomorrow.

I'll cotton on to that as long as you include Medicare in the welfare numbers.

I've got news for you, people paid for medicare out of their wages their whole life. Its no more welfare than social security which the weasel govt is slowly chipping away at. When you pay for insurance and they have to pay off a big claim, is that welfare? Not sure how your mind works.

The medicare tax doesn't cover the cost of medicare. Money is fungible. I've paid my taxes my entire adult life. If I have to go on food stamps, rent assistance, etc., are you and zap gonna bitch about it? After all, I've paid into the system that funds those things too.

Normal people (non-Republicans) know that despite the right wing propaganda labeling the President with the charge of “socialist,” Barack Obama is far from even being a liberal.
John Boehner and Republicans like to tell us “let’s be honest, we’re broke” when they’re cutting health care, education, infrastructure, workers working, research and development, cancer clinics, public parks, veterans benefits or investing in the dignity of our seniors not to eat cat food – but if we were TRULY broke, the US taxpayers wouldn’t be paying over 2 trillion dollars of their tax money for nothing more the Pentagon to occupy the planet.
