Duh... Make breakfast... First start off with a mushroom, tomato and cheese omlet and have toast with peanut butter and jam on the side...

Juice and milk should go well with this one.

hey! good idea!

mushrooms
tomatoes
bread
peanut butter**NOT USING
eggs
cheese
assorted jams n honey

whip the egg whites and add a pinch o salt. take the bread and cut it so it is uniformally cubed up( works best with crusty breads that are unsliced and loaved...but it seems you have sliced bread; no matter)

whip the egg whites and a dab o honey till frothy. dump in the cubed bread and let soak.

take the mushies and toms and the cheese and combine in a dish. pour half of the egg yolks ( beaten of course) on top.set a side.

take the bread, which should have soaked for a few minutes till they are dense. prolonged soaking leads to mush!!!!!

take the bread chunks and place in a baking dish. make sure they are close together and not spaced to far apart. bake for 10-20 minutes @ 400 degrees. watch this so it does not burn!

take the cheese/tom/mushie mix and place on top. CRANK the oven up to broil or 500 which ever; bake of 5-10 minutes.
DONE!

S and P it and enjoy.

cool.

the use of the egg whites only implies what he offered. if he had some oils, or fats, or even salad dressing as a marinade, I would have told him to use either...water would have worked too

BEAN BURGERS!

1 can of yo favorite beans (canneli beans work best.)
onion
garlic
egg white
bread crumbs
s & p
optional; bell pepper, hot sauce, catsup, spicy brown mustard, natural smoke...

cook the onion, chopped, until soft and transparent. Do not overcook: burn!!!!!

add to beans and garlic and the remaining ingredients ( save the crumbs till ingredients are throughly mixed)

Add crumbs to mixture to form a stiff paste and let rest at room temp for 5-10 minutes.

form into patties. may be a bit mushy.

place patties on a grill pan ( the one the has the raised lines) or a regular pan.coat with a spray or wipe witha napkin doused in olive oil...

add patty and cook 5 minutes on each side or until the desired likeness of your burger..

enjoy with the usual condiments and lettuce and tomato; pickle on the side.

*note*: if you dont like this, buy the Gardenburger version you corporate bastrds!

Another easy recipe, if i'm butting in your post let me know i'll delete it, and repost =)

need:

3 slices of bacon
1 person portion of pasta
1/2 cup cream
1 egg yolk
about 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese

salt and black pepper

Cook pasta al dente (should still have some chew, but be completely soft as well, no grit).

cut bacon into small small pieces. take skillet (I use 10") cook the bacon until pieces are crispy. Remove them and put on paper plate with napkin to absorb grease. Drain grease from skillet, leave just a bit. enough to coat pan a bit. no pools though.

Add cream to hot skillet, reduce it a bit, maybe 1 minute. take some of the hot cream and add it to the egg yolk (in a cup still), 1 tbsp at a time, up to 5 tbsp.

add pasta to cream in pan, let it coat the pasta completely. Add egg yolk/cream mixture, stir in slowly, keep heat on medium to low, should barely if at all be bubbling. Add bacon bits, except for maybe a tsp worth. stir in. Add parmesan keep stirring in until melted.

a thick sauce should cover all the noodles. Put onto plate, add last tsp of bacon bits as a garnish on top.

Eat.

mmm mmm good.... Pasta Carbonara.

great post...

i remember seeing my sisters boyfriend having this book that was like for college students, and it was like the canned food bible, and had recipes for using all these obscure canned foods and making good things. i have this friend of mine who is the king of making regular processed food into great shit by just using some extra things, its deff a good route of food. and breakfast in the evening owns.

Pork   Yucky yucky yucky yucky yuck.  I only use pork in one thing I make, spaghetti sauce and just because it is a family recipe and nothing compares to it.

Vincent:    You want some bacon?
Jules:    No, man, I don't eat pork.
Vincent:    Are you Jewish
Jules:    No, I ain't Jewish, i just don't dig on swine, that's all.
Vincent:    Why not?
Jules:    Pigs are filthy animals. I don't eat filthy animals.
Vincent:    But bacon tastes good, pork chops taste good...
Jules:    Hey, sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but I'd never know 'cause I wouldn't eat the filthy motherfuckers. Pigs sleep and root in shit, that's a filthy animal. I don't eat nothin' that ain't got sense enough to disregard its own feces.
Vincent:    How about a dog? A dog eats its own feces
Jules:    I don't eat dog either
Vincent:    Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal?
Jules:    I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy, but it's definately dirty. But, dogs got personality, personality goes a long way.
Vincent:    So by that rationale, if a pig had a better personality, he would cease to be a filty animal. Is that true?
Jules:    We' have to be talkin' 'bout one charmin' motherfuckin' pig. I mean he'd have to be ten times more charmin' than that Arnold on Green Acres, you know what I'm sayin'?

"Bacon tastes goood, Pork chops taste good"

I use pork for my pasta sauce too, i cook pore spareribs in the sauce, then pull off the meat, and puree the sauce.

it's yummay.

I use a couple of boneless chops..  I brown them first and then just slow cook them in the sauce, by the time it is done they pretty much completely disintegrate into the sauce.

Do you call yer concoction gravy or sauce?
