at first I predicted Boston in 4 or 5...

Everybody on earth sees the series going to 6 or 7 for either team...

I'd like MTL to win. neighboring city and all

This could change in a day or two but right now the East is playing tough series and in the West the experienced teams are so far coasting to the next round.

I still think the Bruins beat Montreal, but they got to do something about neutralizing PK Subban.

I thought Marc-Andre Fleury might be the weak link at goalie of the four Eastern teams, especially after getting pulled in the playoffs last year. Now he's got two straight shutouts while out dueling a still hot Henrik Lundqvist.

In the West the Blackhawks haven't lost since April 16. Niklas Hjalmarsson who has blocked some sick amount of shots in the postseason took one off the throat, and isn't expected to talk for weeks, but he was back in for his next shift. Marc Crawford is another goalie I didn't consider elite, but he was third in goals against and save percentage in the first round and didn't miss a minute through all last years playoffs, even though his backup was 16-1.

As always, hope the other teams play tough grueling hockey and let the Hawks get their beauty sleep.

Chicago-Minnesota is scoreless near the end of the first.

Montreal is up 3-1 with 5 minutes left.

lol dude its 2-1

im not worried yet. the Bs just have to play their game, which they arent. they too afraid to hit cuz they dont want penalties. its a terrible strategy

i didnt even watch the 3rd period last nite. they were playing like shit, just uninspired hockey  idk what the fuck is wrong with them

At least right now there is a movement away from the rough stuff, which I think is being lead by the coaches. If you give Montreal a powerplay, Subban will likely get a goal or assist on one. Boston needs to play their checking game without thuggery, but it's looking like Montreal can play that game as well. At any rate the Canadians seem to have the Bruins outside the comfort zone that got them this far. Montreal has been advancing the puck faster than Boston can set up the traps that are the key to their game. The next game is almost a must win for Boston. The Lucic cheapshot earlier may have hindered their ability to play tough because it was blatant. I don't know if it was payback for something else.

In the first round when Seabrook injured the Blues captain, I expected violent retaliation particularly on Toews or Seabrook when he returned from suspension, but this never happened. I guess the Blues coach figured it wasn't worth it to try to win the series. But they should have tried to smash the Hawks because they couldn't skate with them.

theyre just afraid of getting penalties and not playing their physical game bc of that and its fuckin stupid. were trying to play the way they play and its not fuckin workin. if they dont wanna play physical they minus well just stop the series now and go play some golf. we need to play our game, not theirs

our top line hasnt been playing like ass too, iginlia, lucic, and krejci have ALL been playing horrendously

its still just 2-1 tho, if we just play our game and maybe get some emotion in this series then we can still easily win. were giving these games away. and we havent played a full 60 minutes yet in this series yet either. in each game we had shitty shitty first periods and still made a series out of it

were simply a better team than the habs, and its sad that for some reason they dont feel like showing it. last night legitimately mighta been their worst game of the season

if they dont start hitting then yes, i agree with you

right now actions speak louder than words, and straight up the Bs just dont give a shit about winning

last nite is probly the first time ive ever turned off a Bs playoff game. it was fuckin pathetic

the Bs are so much better than how they played last nite tho and we can still easily win this series. if theres one team in the NHL that can play so shitty and turn it around in a game, its the Bruins

lucic hasnt been moving his feet at all

Boston needs to start scoring goals when they aren't in a comeback situation.

they need to play physical and emotional. everything else will work it out if they just do that

its such a simple fucking concept, idk why this is so hard for them to do

we need to stop worrying about the refs and just play our big bad style of hockey. if penalties happen then we deal with em. if we dont play physical, we cant win. so just say fuck it and play their game

couldnt skate with them?

the blues finished 2nd in the entire nhl league. couldnt skate with them?

they had just as much of a chance as the blackhawks
