i wanted to put a blue LED into each of my 41L terrarii, which shall all be housed in an inconspicous cardboard box, but radio shack dosent carry blue led's. i think a low-watt grow-lux fluorescent would be too bulky and too bright for one casing...
so i was wondering what artificial light setups other peep'z built? id use natural diffuse ligtht, but i kinda wanna keep my grow out of sight, hence the cardboard box. ill be doing equador on straw... and suggestions on how to overcome this space/clandestinity problem are appreciated. for the moment im back to the drawing board.

Why don't you buy a really small light bulb?

You should try the LED's. I haven't seen any posts with someone actually using them and I've always wanted to try myself. Do you have a circuit city in your area? The car stereo installation part of the store had LED's.

What kind of radio shack doesn't have blue leds? Do they have white? White would work fine. Better in fact than blue if the blue is off the optimum spectrum by a few nanometers.
Rope light is waterproof, cheap, and works. The smallest size would probably light 2 of those containers if you wanted it to and only costs about $5.

PM me with any cultivation questions.
I just looked at my profile and realized I had a website at one point in time on geocities, it's not there anymore and I have no idea what I had on it. Anybody remember my website from several years aga? PM if so please.

X-mas lights work well and are cheap...also now they should start being readily available. -ar393
