Sorry, shoulda said "update in original post!"

I just put it up there, figured it would be better to see the whole thing in one post.

Any good with a microscope? or identifying features?

I have a good microscope, and have 3 years studying Psilocybe, I could study your collection if you agree.

From what I hear, Alonso is not just good with a scope, he's great, if not one of the best. I'd send him a couple specimen if I were you.

Hi alonso,

Alan sent me your address back when i first found this collection, along with another who does dna/rna work. I'm going to pm you and try to see what we can figure out. I'm more than happy to let you guys work with this collection. I'll be in touch, and I'll also post up some more micro shots with measurements.

I would really appreciate any more information you could give with this find. Things like habitat, substrate, and General area, like which county, East, west, general region or county, elevation, proximity to coast.....

I spoke with Alonso about this collection the other day and he believes baeocystis is likely.  He is working on this group now, so it would be a good time to send it.

There are microscopic differences between baeocystis and quebecensis, so that won't be hard to sort out.    Aztecorum and quebecensis are much closer microscopically and we are working on unraveling this mystery using DNA sequences.  All of the species in "section aztecorum" have been sequenced, but by different people on different continents making it difficult to do direct comparisons.
