DJ's-Breaks, Jungle,Turntableism, etc...
    #1993212 - 10/09/03 02:13 PM (13 years, 1 month ago)

I want to know the different styles that people know out there! Step away from the booty house, Trance and Happy Hardcore. I can't deal with those candy-kids all the time!
Somebody, talk shop with me! Who are your favourite DJ's, MC's and Turntabalists. Who scratches the best? You ever seen the documentary "Scratch"? You ever witnessed the Intergalactic Language spoken by Q-bert and Mix-Master_Mike?

Anyways, lemme know, what a grand learning experience this could be!

Peace :print:

Qbert's the man, have you seen Wave Twisters? He's coming to Seattle Nov. 10th. Rob Swift's new album is great as well, he's one of the members of the X-ecutioners & probably one of the more prolific. Anyway, the album incorporates turntablism more as an extra instrument rather than the center of focus like an MC. Reminds me of Jazz horn, the way his fingers move.

Yes! May the list go on forever! I just saw "Scratch" recently, we paused it at one point and put it in slow-mo....HIs fucking hands were still moving faster than most people scratching!! I honestly almost shit my pants!
I"m originally from Canada so some of the first few Jungle and/or DnB Djs I was introduced to were Capital J and Freaky Flow( usually accompanied by Flipside)Czech as well. I think Obscene Underground productions is from Canada. *shrugs*

fuck yes this is what im talkin about!!!! big shout out to all you junglists/DnB fans out there. :crazy2:  The candy trance rave shit starts to get under my skin after about 5 seconds of hearing it, but with DnB i get so much energy, some of my best memories ever are from going to raves seeing DnB live with some gel-tabs, X,  and glowsticks on the end of shoe-strings ( tends to draw a crowd when u can do the nunchucks well
