Just a few quick questions to anyone who's tried shroom tea before... the 1st question may be a lil stupid but I wanna be sure...do u just mix the shrooms in with regular tea? and how long do you let them soak in the tea? what is the volume to shroom ratio (how many shrooms per cup/liter/whatever)? last question (I promise), how is potency effected? ex. will 5 grams produce more doses in tea than it would dry? (k...guess that was 2 more ?'s)

my suggestion:
put mushrooms in a pot, and cover them with hot water, until they are pretty much completely covered, but no more than that. try to use as lil water as possible. heat the pot, until the water is simmering, and keep it just below simmering, or simmering, for 15 minutes. strain the juice, and do it again, with the remainder of the mushrooms for another small glass. you can strain as many times as you want. put in sugar if you want. i think it tastes just like warm water though

this method is laborious but well worth the effort:
grind the dried mushrooms and mix with a small amount of loose leaf tea and wrap in a piece of cheesecloth or a teaball (it has to be fine mesh) Bring water to boil, once boiling, add a couple teaspoons worth of lemon juice and add the tea. Immediately remove from heat, cover and let steep/infuse for until you can no longer endure the pain of waiting. The longer the better. Enjoy sweetened and/or iced.
I make my tea in a ceramic yixing teapot that has a built in strainer, and I use high quality loose whole leaf tea (teavana.com)
Happy trails.

Stir it often and let it soak for a long time and you will have no troubles.
