Love Jam Bands

It actually started with Phish for me and went backwards to The Dead, along the way also falling for Umphrey's, Biscuits, Lotus (I kinda count them as an electronic jam band lol), STI, etc.

And it really changed my way of playing guitar and writing music, and me and a friend perform sometimes as a little acoustic jam duo

I could never get into WSP though! I have tried so many times!

I didn't realize that sexually transmitted infections were actually a band.

I can relate to a lot of what you said .  I first fell in love with Phish and then got into the Dead.  I like a couple WSP songs but just never fell in love.  Do listen to moe?

If you get confused, listen to the music play!

more of a philosophical question here.. would anyone consider john frusciante a 1-man jam band?  the reason i ask is because on some tracks he really carries and maintains a significant jam.  "before the beginning" and "same" are the ones that come to mind in this regard.
