would listening to metal when your tripping send you bad thoughts or into a bad trip? im talkling about the lyrics they write some bands for eg: slayer, morbid angel, cannibal corpse, evil incarnate etc etc.. even tho i love metal and listen to it everyday will i enjoy it while im tripping? im tripping tonite on dxm for the first time (first trip ever) and ive already made a playlist.. i like d&b, hardhouse just as much as metal maybe more so that is what my playlist consists of right now, im having second thoughts on adding any death metal or anything to grungy or distorted.. techno gets inside your head more and plays with your brainwaves my playlist for tonite
dj the crow dj dej ANDY C dj hype drugface aphex twin jason midro roger sanchez astral projection and a ton more to last a few days. my mp3 folder is like 6.08gig
what are you favourite artists to listen to while your high, tripping, whatever?????

I can assure you one thing wathever music you usually like, you will love it way more while triping. That is if you aint already going in a badtrip.
Anyway try some melodic metal with no lyrics if your afraid to have them hunt your psychic.
Try the ashesofeden.net site. Its my favorite band
well bye I think I am too high to type with some sense.

I LOVE metal. But when I'm tripping, I can't listen to it, it drives me nuts... I think metal is too complicated when on mushies.. When coming down it's great though!

Yeah but I didn't know until I first heard metal on a trip.. and it doesn't really scare me, but it does make me feel uncomfortable.

Yup, if you're going to listen to metal while you trip, Opeth is THE band to listen to IMO, specifically their earlier stuff.

Yeah, Damnation is also nice to listen to while tripping, but there is something about Orchid that I can't explain....I listened to it one time while tripping and after that it became my favorite Opeth album. It just seems to change up on style so much that when I'm tripping it gives me many different mind sets. Morningrise isn't far behind. Black Rose Immortal....need I say more?

Metal has its mood which I find to be negative most times. But there's always pain in growth.

I watched a cannibal corpse cover band play 2 or 3 songs while shrooming... I found it interesting to watch the drunken violence of the audience and the music was also interesting but it felt like saw blades attacking my skull. It was too much for me at the time, so me and my boy (who was way higher, and also fascinated but overwhelmed) went back upstairs to listen to shalabi effect on the patio.
I do enjoy metal while sober, but it's not my favourite thing, and it depends on my mood so that probably effected my experience. Before curiosity got us down to see the band I was in a really calm and joyful state of mind, so softer music would have been preferable.
If you like it I really don't think that listening to it would send you into a bad trip unless you were incapable of turning it off if you found it unpleasant.

I *highly* recommend Godspeed You Black Emperor, and Autechre while trippin'. However, Plug: Drum'n'bass for Papa, is my all time favorite. Extremely funny.
