I'd like to know that too. I've never tried SOS Tek, but a rectangular pan with just vermicuite works fine for me.

i have never used the sos tek but from the info that i remember is that if you get a contamination you can save most of your casings but if you gat a contam with one big casing you would probably loose the whole thing
that could be a benefit with the sos tek

Yeah, you don't want to use one bit container becuase there would be nothing stopping the contams from spreading throughout it.
You can still get the same amount of area by useing seperate containers, and if a casing gets contamed then you'll only loose that one. Also possible to save some contamed casings.
