moving contamed cake outside

I think AFOF's cake has a pencil eraser sized spot of red lipstick mold but the cake is 100% colonized Hawiian mycelium. If it were to be "planted" outdoors would it produce safe to consume fruits?

It really makes no difference if you plant it outdoors or indoors -If the mold has produced/produces harmful toxins, they will be in the cake and possibly in the shrooms regardless of where you plant it.

You can cut the mold out, plant the cake somewhere and see what happens. However, there is no way to guarantee that any shrooms growing from the cake are safe. I'd throw it away.

The way you describe it, it looks like it is just a small, localized infection.
Personally, i would cut the infected area and throw it in hole outside. Depending on the case, normally, mushrooms growing outdoors become stronger and "domestic" contaminants become weaker, that's why many people recommend using an outdoor tek.
Regarding toxins, they could be very dangerous but you have to take in account the kind and size of the contamination, which in this case seems very small. Anyway, most toxins are excreted from mycelium after some time.
