Yes, if by "cinctulus group" you mean a very loose concept that includes both sect. Laevispora (P. cinctulus, P. fimicola, P. acuminatus...) and sect. Verrucispora (P. olivaceus, P. africanus, & maybe some undescribed/unknown species).

Good answer. I'll scope these things some day, I promise.

I know right? They only bloom for a couple days out of the year so I always take pics. Posted a couple more in the flowers thread.

I tell myself that all the time!  No rush, just make sure they are well labeled with date, location, habitat, MO observation number and anything else you think you could possibly forgot.

Went morel hunting last week but I knew I wouldn't have time or space for the Rebel so I just snapped some shitty point-and-shoot pics...

Caloscypha fulgens

Boletus rex-veris

Ramaria sanguinea

And of course, what everyone came here for. Lots of big patches all over the place, my pics do no justice at all. Let's just say pseudotsuga and I both left with all we could carry and we left even more babies behind to keep growing.

I have yet to find a Clatharus yet, they are so cool looking. Awesome find.

Those morels were a little gritty, but still taste amazing. That was probably the best day of hunting ever.

Great stuff Ran-d.

I've never heard of Caloscypha fulgens, but I dig it.

That was my first one, I know they're pretty common around there but I was still stoked.

Apparently there's an albino version of it too, definitely on my to-find list.

Inocybe sp.

Gomphidius subroseus

Sarcosphaera coronaria

Lyophyllum decastes

Let's just keep it simple and call it a panther.

Thelephora sp. I think...

Hysterangium

Dodecatheon alpinum
