Hi, sorry if this has already been asked. I am deficient in the liver enzyme 2D6. I know this because DXM had adverse effects on me. i cuold possibly be P450 deficient. What enzymes metabolize mushrooms? has anyone that has been effected really strong by DXM have normal effects when using mushrooms? Any replies will be greatly appreciated.
CYP2D6 is the enzyme that metabolises psilocybin I believe. Sadly I cannot offer any advice on taking mushrooms with P450 deficiencies. Do a search about it im sure PCP gave some detailed information on it a while back.

I am in the same boat as you... i hit a low 3p on half a bottle of DXM my first time.
I have been looking forward to trying shrooms lately, i never really thought about the enzyme thing yet. A friend of mine who is al deficient tried about 2g's of dried cubes (i think they were cubes anyway) and said he had a great time. So who knows..
