Unusual side effects from psychoactives.

It seems that regardless of what psychedelic psychoactive I'm imbibing, be it phenethylamine or tryptamine, I am overcome with a cold, shivery feeling, and a feeling of wetness at the back of my neck. It feels as though my hair or clothing are wet, and can be very uncomfortable. It wasn't until I first experienced this with MDMA that I began to experience this at all.

Has anyone else noticed this, and what is it that causes this effect? Is it psychological or physiological? Can it be remedied?

There are subtle bodily sensations I associate with psychedelics (pot, shrooms, acid). One that I can think of is a weird feeling in my teeth and mouth. Another is the feeling of sitting down...

I think these sensationsd are gained by simply noticing them while on psychedelics, and then re-thinkig the sensation again because of habit.

the first maybe 5 times I got REALLY stoned I felt like I was turning inside out.

Thats so funny you mention that. I always feel like I have this layer of wet on my skin when I trip, like I am almost underwater, or like the air is more "solid" it ceases to be this air, and actually becomes something as noticable as a galss, or a tree or something. But yea I always feel wet when I trip, I even happened to feel wet when I got my first dmt level salvia high, and that lead to very strange interactions...

My mouth and lips always feel very strange, senusal and smooth yet numb patches where it feels my jaw is going through it's self when i shut it. Id imagine oral sex would be rather fun like this.

Sounds normal to me, I get cold sweats all the time on phsychoactives.

Read "The Physical Effects of Mushrooms" in the experiencing mushroom section, this might help calm some of those fears of turning into caveman.
