Looks like a steel blue to me. Pnw funguy and myself found a little patch of cincts. We chewed on em for a bit and at about the same time we were spitting and clearing our mouths out. They tasted like a watery grass mushroom dog infusion. Haven't tried em dry. Have you ever tried an amount of these?

I think they look not bluing, I think good bluing should be no question to call it bluing. yes? i dont know if that makes sense. I think they look like cool pans man, hard to say. I am entering an SEM contest soon that will teach me how to use the scope. I should be able to finally see roughened spores easily,

Yes, that's the one. Needless to say, he'll have several dozen spores catching every breeze for the greater part of three days.... ladies

I was telling my wife how noble that one looked and I had to take a picture of it. She hates waiting for me on hikes to take picture of mushrooms and flower, I don't ever bother using my tripod most of the time, it takes too long.

This log had three different Polypores growing on it: Ganoderma oregonense, Ganoderma applanatum and maybe Fomitopsis pinicola.

Santiam river. I think this was a caved carved out by a stream or waterfall.

Apologies, all I had on me at the time was my phone. These were found on pine so I think they might be Gymnopilus thiersii, I'm sure someone who knows better than I do will correct me.

Once my camera batteries charge I can take some better pictures and a cross section, what-not.

Bloodworm thinks they might be Gymnopilus aeruginosus, I think they are probably something close to it.

 They are definitely active.

May be Auricularia polytricha

It's the first time I've found this genus.

I remember that one! Have you had any success propagating any mycelium from the Gyms? I tried the stem butt tec on card board. No growth. This year I am just transplanting patch to bed. Seems like yours are wild. Curious of any tried applications. Dude. You're right. My find is at the base of piles. Also seems as if in the past I was observing what I considered to be gyms. They were amongst a yard or two pile within a mile or two proximity of my current find. Also at the time I felt like most of the other noted observations were on piles. I'm new don't trust what I say.

I've tried a few outdoor beds but I've never had any real success with them. They need a lot of wood to grow I think.
