hey wondering if anyone can help to where is a good place to go hunting on Oahu in Hawaii .. and what I should be exactly looking for.... I am curious ..

No exact locations, but, you should just look for some cow pastures...
You'll find Copelandia cyanescens (blue meanies) and Psilocybe cubensis.
You'll also find some inactive mushrooms. Do some reasearch on the two species mentioned above to help you on your journey. They will be growing directly out of the cow dung.

and several other articles. It is a colored version of my published paper in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology.
You will find it interesting and informative and it will tell you everything you need to know that you asked about.
Also check out my other three Hawaiian papers also posted there. With color instead of black and white photos and chromatograms of chemical analysis and pictures of all of the common Hawaiian psilocybian species.
And for
Angry Shroom THERE ARE NO PSILOCYBE CUBENSIS Mushrooms growing naturally anywhere in Hawaii, except in someones basement (cellar) or attic.
Especially those spores of alleged Hawaiian P. cubensis offered for sale by The Exotic Pacifica Spora people who grow Mexican varities of P. cubensis and sell them all over the internet as Hawaiian Shrooms.

Ehmm...okay.
I remember seeing cubensis growing in parker ranch on the big island, maybe I tripping!?? I guess they could have been some stropharia sp.

Try searching the ground and look for mushrooms. It seems to work.

ANgry Shroom, I spent one week on **** Ranch with Don Hemmis ho wrote the bookMushrooms of hawaii. He is a biology professor at The University of Hawaii at the Hilo campus and teaches a course in Mycology and works extensively with George wong who teaches a shroom course at the u of h in manoa on Oahu. Wong also teaches a shroom class and uses my website for his students and mark merlin at the U of h in Manoa also teaches a course called Biology 401: Psychoactive Drug plants, (16 weeks of knowledge).

Oahu has cow pastures in Waimanalo and other areas near Kahuku and in the country. ***** is well known for copes.

**** is on the big island, ****, is in Kailua and Kualoa is the largest Ranch on Oahu, right next to ****..

This is the reason this thread should have never been created in the first place. I'm sure with minimal research effort the guy could have found mj's site which has vast information on hunting in Hawaii.

Has anyone ever went mushroom hunting anywhere else in Hilo besides ****? That place is way too far up the mountain for me to walk...
If you have, did you have any luck finding anything? Personally I have never even spotted anything down here.

I didn't catch that last night. I'm thinking that the names of farms and ranches(if they have names) is too specific for this site. If anyone mentioned one and I didn't catch it, please do me a favor and edit it out.

Nothing is wrong walking upo and down the mountains of Oahu hunting shrooms. I did it every week for twelve years in the Islands.
They not only grow at sea level but also up to 4000 meters altitude. Maybe higher but never noticed.
And all locations are mentioned in my papers published in the articles section of my web-site or in my book, magic mushrooms of hte Hawaiian Islands, still obtainable form me.
