I recycled this bag from earlier culture and used the straw log tek with the lime and bleach . Pasturized for an hour at 160

If you check your PM's from a while back you'll see that I just referred to them as Pleurotus ostreatus not blue oyster.
Saying that I wouldn't mind a culture of blue oyster though

Why did you use a balck bag? almost impossible to tell if the straw was colonised?

Actually I've got an extremely rare blood condition thats in the royal family called Porphyria. Queen Victoria was rumoured to have it and it has been since proved that Queen Victoria's grandchild Charlotte and her daughter Feodora also had Porphyria. Yes, luckily I've got a mild form of it that doesn't cause me too many problems.

This particular pleurotus is from a commercial strain if I remember rightly.
