Why are some dogs so submissive
    #19839225 - 04/13/14 06:12 PM (9 years, 10 months ago)

I have two dogs, A and B.

A is completely submissive, or is just kind of a pushover lol, if you throw it a ball it ducks and welps. If a dog on the street barks at her while im walking her she will literally run the other direction with her tail between her legs. She isnt scared of people, like she isnt abused or anything. Its just shes extremely submissive and scared of other dogs.

My other dog B is very aggressive. She will stand over A and try to play rough (when B plays rough, A literally just rolls over and takes it lol), and show her teeth to her if she gets near her bone or food or whatever. She tries to attack people besides me if they try to pet her (shes really loving, and is NEVER aggressive to me), and barks viciously at other dogs.

Anyway im just wondering whats up with that lol
What makes some dogs so aggressive and some dogs so submissive?

She was probably beaten by her prior owner.

The aggressive one is the alpha.

Probably the same reason why some people are submissive.

Maybe she had a bad trip where she realized she was just a part of an enslaved species. Doomed to be subservient to humans
