Things are finally starting for me... Still a little dry, but can only get better from here.
I find this lonely sub first off and then another little pin not far from it.

Then I had a run in with a wallaby and was just about to give up, but I spotted this little group underneath a fallen fern.

RULES!!!
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/2263556
7. No requesting or revealing specific locations. Use common sense about what might be considered a specific location. Anything that could lead someone right to the spot is not allowed - It is perfectly fine to mention places that are more than a couple square kilometers. When in doubt, do the moderators a favor and just don't say it.

Nope, sorry. Liberty caps look pretty different, and are generally pointy. The stem is quite fibrous and not at all brittle like in yours. They're found in long grass in meadows.

I won't be gathering 1000's of subs like last year, but might have the chance to snap some hi-res sub porn for you amazing people. So, stand by to stand by

Went for a walk today and in about 20 minutes on a track where I saw quite a few subs last year, I barely saw a dozen inactives! Conditions would appear to be not yet at all suitable up in the NW.

Nice subs! Are you hunting in the dark lol? I don't usually wash them and you probably shouldn't, like any mushroom. Yeah the blue is psilocybin or psilocin and you may be loosing some potency. I brush dirt of them if eating fresh otherwise drying them on a piece of paper in front of my heat pump then again just brush or tap the dirt and probably spores off, chuck that paper in the garden! haha Are you north south east or west?

Ital_cowboy here is my two cents I can add to what you said on patches flowing one year and yet not the next season. My first year of hunting I found a patch(my first patch) and it flushed 4 times that year. Now the next year I went to the same patch a week or so before the patch was due to grow and I saw some small fruiting bodies make their way up the forest floor. However over the next few weeks when the season came into full swing I noticed something odd. Which was that the mushrooms were not growing at all :o !!! despite have ample substrate and rainfall. When I returned one time to great lament I noticed the sub had turned green!!!! To try and figure out the problem I looked at the mycelium network and saw to my horror that it had been completely covered in a yellow fungus!!!
anyway next year the same patched produced a swarm of gregarious specimens due to what I suspect is from the untapped substrate of the year before.
My hypothesis is that if a patch is overrun in its infancy then the mycelium cannot retain enough substrate for fruiting bodies that season. This could explain why the patches of mushrooms in highly competitive environments such as a wet rainforest change hands so often each year.

Sounds like things are still fairly quiet down here?
I've been out of the loop for a couple of years, got tied up with life and other things. Still haven't had a proper successful hunt, but something has brought me back to here this year so I'm thinking maybe this could be my time.
I'm going for a drive North-East today with a friend who is down from Melbourne so I'll be having a bit of a wander and seeing what I can see.
Hope everyone is well!
