Nah this one is on a walkway a good 50m long. They're stretched out most of the length along it. Have you been checking this patch of yours this year?

Ahh right, the habitat looks exactly the same as mine.
I checked mine once this year, but it was very early in the season. Mine's at a school, so I will have to check it on Saturday morning while there's no one about. Hopefully I'll find some goodies there, although I think it might still be a little too dry. Will report back on the weekend!

It's a little easier if you have a laptop
I think i've fixed the problem now though by clearing all EXIF data from photos. Hopefully the next lot I post should be the right way!

A few small finds from a few different spots. Only 3 from the spot I was pulling big numbers from last year on the east coast. 1 from a random spot I thought I'd try (couldn't find a another in a 50m radius so moved on) and the rest from another spot found in and around tall grass. A lot of those we're hidden and I had to pull back grass. Hopefully didn't damage any pins I couldn't see.

This one was well pinned down under a stick

Also on Saturday I collected samples of what is possibly Panaeolus acuminatus, although I'm still awaiting further opinions. I thought it was a cool find even though it most likely will not contain psilocin/psiolcybin. If it does turn out to be Panaeolus acuminatus it would contain serotonin, 5-HTP & tryptohpan... and from what I've read it's not known to occur in Australia... so it will be interesting to see if I can get a definite ID on the exact species.

Cool finds everyone!
Only one notable specimen this week, nice big fat stem on this one:

There was hardly any pins in this spot last week, they sure are popping up fast!

These subs growing amongst these somewhat similar little brown mushrooms - anyone have any idea what they are, I've seen millions of them:

Found more subs growing amongst Hypholoma fasciculare

Last weeks pins have opened up nicely Before and After

Looks like this has turned into quite a decent spot, and will see me through the season. Going to start investigating more deforested areas soon and find more patches!

Very hard for me to say with those pictures, but it looks similar to a Tubaria sp. I found growing amongst one of my sub patches. I can't really tell for sure just from those photos though... maybe next time if you pick one and get a few photos we can have a better look... it could also potentially be a Galerina sp. Either way, it's not something you want to accidentally mistake for a sub.

I would lean much more to Galerina marginata, with that cute little nipple (umbo) on the top, and bright orange colour. These are deadly toxic, so a good lesson to ID things correctly before you eat them!

Yeah thats really cool!
Man those sub habitats look just like the Ps. azurescens habitats on the coast. not surprising, but cool~!

Have you posted any finds this year? You're usually the one who starts off these threads, but I can't recall seeing any pics from you this year... I wanna see some liberty caps, come on obtuse! I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to see those beautiful libs you seem to so often find.

I think I'm missing the point of the video.... it was very long and could have been summed up in closer to 30 seconds instead of almost 4 minutes.
Due to the length before watching it I was expecting to see a huge patch of subs or a time lapse of growth.... not just two or three subs.
It seems more like a school project or something rather than a video about Psilocybe subaeruginosa... but that's just my opinion.
I did enjoy the POV style of the video, however. I thought that was cool but just not enough mushrooms.

Hello All
Subhunter and Nevermind Good to see their still around, even though we need more
On a recent hunt I found these guys
I thought cool... subs, but then I thought, am I 100% sure. There was no bluing whatsoever, and while the caps looked sub-bish, I thought, could it be a imposter?
So I took a print
 Which confirms it's an active.
So what do you think? is it a sub or something else? I'm 99.99% sure it is. But it looks dried out to me, but not like other subs that I've found drying out. Im confident they are, but just wanted a second opinion please.
