Yeah dude, it is looking good up around 4,000ft right now. Lots of stuff I usually see in December or January I going for a real hunt tomorrow up there. There were a number of violet corts and a handful of other species along a half mile walk.

Things definitely have picked up around these parts. The last week it snowed on the dogwood blossoms, which means winter storms are pretty much done and spring mushroom start popping up like crazy.

Hypholoma fasiculare


Deconica species



Auriscalpium vulgare





Hygrocybe species, not very common around here.





Suillus species, I am on the fence about whether it is S. caerulescens or S. pondersus. Pretty hard to tell in this state anyhow







It only lightly stained blue/blue-green on the base when cut



Agaricus hondensis





Boletus rex-veris under Tanoak





Same species under Ponderosa Pine





Sarcosphaera coronaria



Morchella snyderi

I miss kicking it in Portland with you. I am definitely gonna do a longer trip up your way this fall.

Thanks for compliments folks, definitely feels like a big relief to be able to actually find lots edibles after a winter of the worst conditions.
