red/pink mycellium?!?

Hola, que tal.

Yesterday I misted accidentally a casing with a strong bleach/water mixture 2-3:10 that I use to clean work surfaces. Today the mycellium looks pink/red in some spots. Do you think it?s the mycellium reaction to that much bleach or it?s just a coincidence and the casing is contaminated?

It's a contam. Armond just tossed almost a dozen jars today because of the red funk. It seems to have grown in the uncolonized spots in the jars which were too wet. I think you may have oversaturated the uncolonized parts of your casing.

I could be way off though, I'm just guessing at the reason.. but if it's red, it's most likely a contam. Sorry. :tongue:

Strange colors don't mean any good. A pic would definitely help,
if it spreads, toss it.
Mira, tambien puede ser una reaccion a la lejivia, como estan distribuidos los colores ?

The color is on top of the casing where the bleach/water landed. The rest looks good to me.
Anyway, if it?s a contam and the casing changed color in just a day, this motherfucker should take over the whole casing by tomorrow considering the rate at which it?s growing, or am I too drunk?

Do you understand me or should I PM you in spanish?

Man this sucks, finally it is contamed and I had to throw it away. In just a couple of days it turned to as many colors as the rainbow has (red,pink,yellow,green, even a little black). Well, that?s life.
