This is actually already going on in an unposted manner. When one gets a new unknown species it is quickly divided and worked on. Results are shared and eventually, hopefully the species is conquered. It tends to be a slow process and results wouldn't be posted often if in a public forum.

What kind of experiments did you have in mind?

Hummm, I haven't actually decided on what I feel would be a good experiment, but I was thinking of looking for ways to fight the contams we so hate. We all know there are measures against them but there are others and probably better ones, Maybe a proof positive way to increase potency? New substrates (I know these pop up all the time but Im just writing what comes into my mind.) Improved grow rooms, increased yeilds, shorter germination times, anything that pertains to mushrooms basically. Sorry I cant be more specific I havent given it much thought recently but I know I can come up with something. I had no idea that fellow shroomerites took a new strain and worked on different angles.....right on....I must say I love this place and the people in here.
