I live about 20 miles outside of Eugene oregon in a very small town, it just rained last night so i decided to go mushroom hunting for my first time, i went to this little trail in the woods near an a small pond. The first mushrrom i found was in the middle of the path, the soil was moist and coved in leafs, I could see that the mushrooms had already droped its spores, and they were white. The Cap is 3.5cm, thin and bell shaped, it is a dark purplish color in the very middle and then faeds out to a light brown with a pinkish hue and white around the edge, it also has some very small ridges going down the cap from the center. The gills are white and rather close together but i can slide an exacto knife blade inbetwwen individual gills, but its a tight fit. The stem is White with a light brown patch that fades into white. It is 4.6cm long, .6 cm wide at the base and .3cm at the top 3.7cm up the stem is a small whit veil that extends about .2 cm. there is no odor or slimy feel.
the first picture i drew in paint to help give an idea of how it looks.
sorry about the quality of this picture, the object next to the mushroom is a bic pen.
I will be posting descriptions of the other mushrooms i found soon. Thnks for your help!
