Niggy: Good for you! I'm in Newfoundland. I don't believe we've had a frost yet, so i'm just biding my time before my first semmie hunt. could you give me some tips as to where to look? all i can figure thus far is grassy areas, prefferably those travelled by animals.
i'm so hungover.

Gonzo; I am from Newfoundland too. We haven't had a frost yet unfourtunitly, however I seen my breath this morning, that's a good sign. I also went on a shroom hunt this morning and found nothing despite a search over a wide area.
Mind sharing the general location of yourself? I am in the St. John's area...

More Newfoundlanders!
A friend of a friend found 90 Lib Caps in the Torbay area: high altitude, tall grass, and lots of shade. This was a couple of weeks ago before all that warm, muggy weather... the foaf says that it was an isolated incident, and no more have appeared since.
The wet weather we've been having should help. One frost and we'll be golden.

Hah. Spectacular. Gonzo; I'm in the Outer Cove area, actually.
3 Newfies who live in St John's in a row...
Another guy around the outer bay area found 23 liberty caps on his uncle's farm, apparently.
NFshroomer; I agree. All it takes is 1 frost. I feel it coming soon aswell...

Spiritus: Do you go to school? Have ICQ?
When we talk about frost, we more or less mean when the temperature goes below zero, right?

Yeah, you guys can add me on: ICQ - 55642392 AIM - spiritusofchaos1 MSN - G13xSpiritus@hotmail.com
By frost, I assume we mean that crystally shit that appears on the ground
I beleive this allows a lot of moisture to build up... perfect for shroomies...
Anyways, you guys can feel free to add me, I am looking forward to discussing the classic Newfie shroom hunt

"By frost, I assume we mean that crystally shit that appears on the ground"
gee. thanks. fuckin wiseguy.
but, for frost to form, the temp must go below zero, no? the weather network, as far as i know, doesn't let you know when the frost forms. however, it does give you a low temperature. so, a low of zero or so would be a frost indicator. does that make sense?

Of course dude...
http://weather.ca/weather/cities/can/pages/CANF0253.htm
Apparently, this week its not going much below 15 c
however, it seems to be getting lower. Hopefully we hit a cold front soon that will drag us into a cold shrooms season...

yeah- the weather hasn't given us a damn thing in the way of pans. worth mentioning. Ancient chineese proverb say - "You best feel lucky honkey- others not so much- so give me all your subs."
