Using Ehrlich or Reagant for Shrooms?

Hey, so I got an ehlrich, and it was great at id'ing lsd quickly and obviously from just a sliver, just 1/4th of a .2inch^2 hit, I used the NIK ehrlich pouches. It's supposed to test for psilocybin/psilosin too, just curious if anyone knows more about using ehlrich or reagants for shrooms?
I would imagine just crush up some shroom and put on pouch or drop the reagant on it would be easy enough.

You're test happy!
Post a request for mushroom identification with a picture, a lot of experienced members could tell you right away what you have. The problem I see with testing your mushrooms isn't with a positive identification from the reagent, but if you don't know what you have well enough it could be a non-cubensis species with a different amount of actives. Using standard dosing could royally fuck you over, or leave you unsatisfied.

Im just test happy. I know exactly what it is. I guess I was just curious if like I could test for psilocyibin at all with ehrlich. Besides in the form in question, ie chocolates, powder, cakes, it couldnt be visually ID'ed.
Its less of a 'hey i dont know what this is' and more of a 'hey could I test this for positive identification its not fake shit' or shits and giggles, really. I mean it looks like its legit, im not really worried it isnt what it is.

Note for future references: Small piece (like 1/8th of a blotter size, tiny match head) just turns dark in ehrlich. Has a slight purple/maroon tinge to it. It almost looks like it's getting wet/dark than turning the bright, more indigo-ish color of tryptamines, blotter, etc in ehrlich.
I think for positive identification, maybe see what non-psilocybin/psilosin shrooms look like in ehrlich (ie do all mushrooms just turn dark in ehrlich). So not really a conclusive result for people to know in the future, but with further testing it could be deduced and be a valuable resource for people.

You probably used too much reagent, I mean that stuff is supposed to test for LSD so you would expect a strong color reaction. I would recommend taking a small part of the mushroom, putting it in 2 to 5 ml warm water for 15 minutes or so (reagent glass probably works best) and then take the piece out. If you now add the reagent to it, you will (most likely) see a nice color reaction that is not too dark. If there's no reaction, use boiling water next time. It doesn't need to be distilled water btw. If its still to dark, add more water (from the tap).
Post a picture, if you decide to do it.
