Grow light out for 4 days

Well no power for 4 days. The power went out due to a hurricane winds.
I did not know this i was at collage up there, there was no power loss.
1 week later i got home and herd of the power outage. I went to my grow room and was thinking i was going to see yellowed leafs and other sings of poor health.
My plants were very green more than normal. Has this very happen to you.
What i think is the plant did not get cut off of all light there is heavy draps over the window. The plant was not getting enought light but the plant made more cloroplas(green pigment) to collect more light?
And i dont know if any one elese notice this but the fuzz on the salvia stem i misted mine and the mist seen to fade away the water even moved up the stem upon close inspection.

I could be wrong on this one, so someone let me know if I am. Plants tend to take up nutrients at night time(when there is no light), and that's also when they do a good majority of their growing. In my experience with aquatic plants, if they got plenty of light for a week or two then they were starved of light for about 3-4 days there would be a ton of growth. Edit: Upon researching this, most plants absorb nutrients during daylight and grow during the night.

4 days of no light isn't going to really hurt any generally healthy plant.

Its no big deal, it might stress the plants a bit but nothing that a cupple of days in the right conditions wont fix.
Peace...

that's what I was thinking.... if you were in a 12 on - 12 off cycle for flowering I'd go back to 18 or 24 on for at least a week or two. Too much stress to a female plant will cause it to grow some male reproductive organs.... or whatever... this will give you all female seeds on that particular plant, but it will also give you seeds!.... ruining your sensi!

You shouldn't be running what selfs so easy. Run at least 50 (and in lots if you can't) to find a keeper. Gender is based on lean.

For vegative growth keep the light on for 24 hours a day. The plants love the 24 hour a day light, thats why they grow faster indoors, no need to have a 19/5 light cycle, that extra 5 hours is good for them. When you want to flower put the timer on 12/12. 4 days of dark wont hurt yout plants, but they simply dident grow for those 4 days(Sets harvest back).

gtivr6mk4, read on line? LMAO, try it. I have selfed stubborn plants and all the tricks like GA, root stress, light poisoning ect. Overclocking seems to work. As for lean, that's the FACT.

I missed this old thread...
Self = forcing staminate flowers on females plants to create a self-cross, commonly known as feminised seeds.
GA = Gibberellic acid, can be used to self.
Root stress can be done in medialess hydroponics to induce selfing.
Light stress, by making a 12/12 cycle erratic by an extra light that switched on in off-photoperiod can induce selfing.
Overclocking, running the plants beyond their usual 12/12 regime duration -- i.e. a strain that finishes at 10 weeks is run to 15 weeks 12/12. That can lead to staminate flowers (yellow bananas). So, if you have a bunch of same female clones at day 21 to be put into the overclocked grow, then there will be a self-crossing. The reason for putting in the 21 day 12/12 clones is because there will be no life long enough in the 15 week 12/12 clones to carry a self-cross seed crop. You want dark plump mature seeds, not green duds.
Finally, lean of gender is important. You must only self what is stubborn, so the feminised seeds have a good chance of not going hermie when grown out.
Seriously, I'm surprised people who say I make no sense don't reseach. I've done this shit in reals. I do know what I'm talking about.
