Music editing software...preferably freeware?
    #1977297 - 10/03/03 08:56 PM (14 years, 7 months ago)

Recently I posted that Im currently recording music that was originally on tape. These tapes were recorded in open space through microphone so there is background air/hissing/someother shit.

Does anyone know of any software/freeware that will help me edit some of this shit out or at least minimize it?

Don't know about free, but if you're morally bankrupt try getting hold of SoundForge from your prefered p2p source
It works a treat for cleaning up hiss on tapes.

If your willing to use Kazaa try and find a program called Acid Pro. that's what I use.

If you get SoundForge, try to get the last version Sonic Foundry put out before Sony bought it and ruined it.

I use 5.0.
