yeah, i kinda feel like an old fart myself on this site being in my late thirties but shit age is just a number and my perspective is always changing.one thing that keeps me healthy is having friends from 18 to 50.i would never be happy being in an age ghetto and i hope the younger folks here realize that too.

I'm not saying that I want to segregate myself. I participate on the other boards and enjoy hearing what everyone has to say. I just thought it would be interesting to have a site for people with similar time-related experiences.

If you're wondering why I made this suggestion - check out the thread under Trip Toys called Anti-Trance. I thought it would be cool to suggest some trippin' music from the late 70's to some of the younger heads to get their reactions to some of the stuff that they may never had heard before. (you know- bands like Yes, The Beatles, Floyd)

Anyway - instead of talking about music I found myself defending my entire generation against all of these hostile posts from jack-offs who were claiming that their mothers became crack-whores because of the 'hippies' from the '60's.

Thats a little bit of an overstatement now isn't it? Exclusionary tactics in any form always rub me the wrong way... now would you make people who wanted to express themselves on a topic you are discussing prove thier age somehow or what? Are the opinions of my age group so immature and irrelevant you do not wish to sully your eyes by having to read them?

I have contradicting feelings on this,on
one hand cool(what ever gets you threw the
night and all that)if it makes enough people
happy. On the other is along the lines quotle
said,I know not everyone my age is what
you would call the brightest bulb in the
bunch but there are alot of intelligent
young people out there(they are just
depressed and don't talk much and no I
don't blame the 60's generation in anyway
problems like that cannot be so easy explained)but this idea that anyone"older"
is automatically more intelligent is
foolish and for the record I am 24 and need
no one to explain the virtues of Pink Floyd,
The Beatles, ext.Oh hell in the end people
will do what they want anyway.

I'm not calling younger people dumb. See! This is exactly what I am talking about. Why would I need to defend or explain that I would like to speak to people my own age about subjects that relate to people my own age. You know - adult diapers - and stuff like that.

Its not about excluding people or disrespecting anyone. I'm just curious about how some of my fellow travels have fared over the years.

Another example - why should anyone become defensive over the fact that I would like to turn on some of the younger people (who are into Trance music) onto The Beatles. God - I love The Beatles! I would love to share that.

I don't understand why - if people can start a thread about other subjects - hy it would be so taboo to start a thread dealing with issues facing the 'older' tripper. You know - how to get your dentures in straight when tripping - etc, etc.

Peace brothers.
