Bufo alvarius on bouncing bear

Did you guys know that Bouncing Bear Botanicals is selling Bufo alvarius toads on their web page? It kind of struck me as odd. Would it be safe to ship them? I mean safe for the toads. Also anyone know how the toads use their venom in the wild, I'm under the impression it's not really toxic to humans, I know it contains 5-MeO-DMT...any information on them? I'm not really interested in ordering one, but I am curious about them.

I'm looking to order a breeding pair. I've got a big empty terrarium since my massive snake "moved out".

What kind of arrangements would be needed to send them overseas? Anyone familiar?

I'm guessing the vendors deal with that. I've had other reptiles shipped to me.

Bouncing Bears says they will only ship to America and High_On_Magic if I'm not mistaken you don't actually lick the toad, that's just a myth..5-MeO-DMT isn't orally active. I was under the impression you milk the venom gland and then let the venom dry, or the liquid evaporate or whatver, leaving smokable 5-MeO-DMT..I mean obviously I could be mistaken but that's what I understood.

yeah i would be a lot more inclined to try my hand at toad raising but that's quite a thick stack of cash and i'd rather eat...it would be nice having a constant supply of that particular hallucinogen hopping around...although i've never tried 5-MeO-DMT it might would be nice to experiment with..

Hence the breeding pair. All you need is 4 toads to fill out the quota of 1 trip/week, if that's the case.

Reptiles kick ass. Psychedelics kick ass. I do need me some psychedelic reptiles, do I not? I've had a lot of reptiles... Pair of Brazilian Red Rainbow Boa's, a massive Boa Constrictor at about 2.4 meters, Iguana, some kind of weird red desert lizards, Horned Agam (I don't know how to say it in English), frogs, red bellied salamanders (The guys were so entertaining... Out of a colony of like 25, about 5 were alive after a few weeks. Not due to sickness, but to the fact that they straight kicked eachother's asses and/or jumped out of the tank).

All very good points. And I agree. Myself though, I'm somewhat experienced in keeping reptiles and amphibians. And I'm well equipped for it. Does that still make me the devil?

You are correct about the 5-MeO-DMT, but actually you can trip from licking it, because its venom contains another tryptamine, Bufotine, which IS orally active. Just thought you'd like to know.

FYI: Toads aren't reptiles. They're amphibians.
