Is this species common at all? Anyone ever find it at a local nursery?

Not common. I'm pretty sure this was labeled taquimbalensis.

Not that common though they do show up as Joe said sometimes they are mislabeled as chiloensis or terscheckii.

Mmm. I think my pic is a chiloensis. I've never thought to ever label my cactus, but now realize that it could have been useful.
But only for threads like this...
otherwise they're green with spines and some have varying levels of mescaline.

Here's a photo of a cactus I purchased originally believing to be a psilocereus:

Someone has suggested that it's not psilocereus but something else instead. I think it could either be taquimbalensis, or some species of Browningia. Not that it truly matters, I just grow cacti because they're cool.
