In Athens GA looking for Psilocybe new comer

I live near athens ga and i am planning on going on a hunt very soon but need help/advice on what psilocybe mushrooms are in my area and where to find them.

So you think it would most likely be the Psilocybe caerulescens in my area.
Ive seen other forums and alot say that the Cubes arnt this far north but they say the weilli are.
And should i be lookin more in pastures and feilds or wooded areas?

When do these weiliis fruit and what time in the day should i head out to hunt. And thank you that was much help!

Just study those links I gave you, especially the parts in Joust's guide that cover habitat and season of the mushrooms you want to find and start hunting. Bring a camera with you and try to get well lit and in focus photos. P. weilli is actually the same species as P. caerulescens, but P. caerulescens is the correct name for them.
