Another Weilii Update
    #1969813 - 10/01/03 05:21 PM (13 years, 2 months ago)

Spotted two caps from the car today. Parked and stumbled across about eight more. This is the first fruiting from this particular patch, so the rest should be soon to follow, IMO.
Also, we've got three consecutive days of rain coming Mon, Tues, and Wed of next week, just for everyone's information.

"YOU KNOW WHAT I HATE!!!? People who think they can forecast the weather!!! Like just the other day, this punk i know was saying 'Yeah tomorrow we are gonna get like, 2 feet of snow in just a few hours. They were saying its gonna be the biggest snow in ten years.... And that day we get an inch of snow.... I feel like getting a baseball bat, breaking it over his head, and then STABBING him with the broken end!!!!" - Eric Harris (one of the Columbine shooters)

"Spotted two caps from the car today"

I need some advice. When scanning yards, how fast do you go, what part of the yard do you scan? Do you look for clusters, or the color of the cap, or something sticking up from the grass? Or what? Im just asking cause I looked in some hot spot neighborhoods for like 3 hours after both the rains we've had in the last 2 weeks and found nothing. If any of the people who have found them could post what they look for or which part of the yard they scan most, let me know. Peace

In my experience, They are found in clusters or scattered alone on a sod yard. It helps to have 2 people in the car. Just go about 5 mph with the windows down, and look. They are hard to miss if they are mature.
Ive noticed that they prefer somewhat flatter ground and very very green sod. Not that yellowish/almost dead stuff. If you spot a group of pine trees backed up to a sod lawn, thats perfect Weilii habitat. Try to get out and walk around to hunt these areas as long as it's not to sketch.
Hope thats helped. :mushroom2:

Did you find any last year? Have you ever found any? What I do is look where I've found them before. They tend to grow right from the same spots over and over. I use that spot as an indicator. I'll look from my car or whatever and see two caramel colored spots in the grass, where there have been weilii before. I then get out and check, if I have a good feeling. If I'm right I'll pick what I saw first, and then scan the rest of the surrounding area, and think about where else they may be hiding. If I find them on the edge of some grass near some bushes, I'll then look under the bushes and behind the bushes. I think where I wouldn't think to look, and that works pretty often. As far as speed of my car, I just slow down when I'm going by somewhere I've seen them before. I'll circle around if I have cars around me, until I can slow down and get an opportune look. Hope that helps. Ladle.

At least it snowed so he was half right about his prediction. Ju7st not as much as he wanted it to snow just to bug you probably.

You need to eat some shrooms and mellow out.

"Ive noticed that they prefer somewhat flatter ground"

That's not completely true. The ones I just found were at the peak of a 45 degree angle. It was awkward walking the area it was so angled. I find the biggest ones where water tends to collect. I find the majority on flat land like you're saying. Occasionaly I'll find them sporting themselves in lands of awkward positions.

The rain that was in the forecast for next week has completely vanished now. I hope it changes again.

Hey MJShroomer, he was quoting what one of the guys from the columbine shooting said. Try finishing the post before telling the guy to chill. Zoom out.
