runts... is this normal?
    #1954129 - 09/26/03 11:30 AM (20 years, 4 months ago)

A friend is growing some little treasure coast shroomies.
They are pretty small and I'm wondering if this is normal.

They are about two inchs tall, and already open, and the growth seems to have slowed.
He has them hooked up to a humidifer, and keeps it around low ninty's % humid, and there is an aquarium pump pumping in air 24 hrs a day. On top of that fanning them occasionally with misting them once every other day.

Maybe this species is normally small?
Is he doing something wrong?

Yeah -- that happens a lot when you get a good pinset.  Just take care of it and the next flush should be bigger

How thick is your substrate layer?
The thicker , the fatter and bigger the shrooms.
