Eating Salvia

I don't want to smoke salvia, (or anything for that matter). Has anyone experienced salvia orally? I read that it does not absorb in the intestines very well, so you should chew for 10 minutes and let it absorb in your mouth. I have tasted salvia, I know how bitter it is, but I will try anyway. How many grams of dry leaves would work well orally? I do not want to undershoot. Thanks, RL

You can also buy a Salvia tincture. Which is the active compound (Salvinorin A) dissolved into alchol. You have to hold it in your mouth for a while. Some people's mouths become irritated by the alcohol, so you might want to dilute it first..

You can also make a tincture yourself with alcohol.. Soak the dried leafs for 3 days and you're ready to go.

I've tried a salvia quid once before and thought the effects were better than smoking. Not as intense, considering how much I chewed (6-8 large to medium fresh lleaves), but it stuck around for a while longer. My main problem with smoked salvia is that the peak is there one second and gone the next, you don't really have time to see what it can do. With the quid, it lasted a good 20-30 minutes. However, I don't really think chewing leaves without spitting or swallowing for 30 minutes is really worth it myself, so I probably wont do it again, but it's worth a try. Also, before you do it, do a little reading on how to do it right, supposedly brushing the inside of your mouth with a toothbrush to scrape off dead cells and using mouthwash beforehand will increase the oral absorbtion of salvinorin A.

The quid method is effective but like dude said it's a pain in the ass to hold that shit in your mouth for that long without spitting or swallowing. I want to try making blotter out of it but haven't gotten around to trying it. It would work if you did it right I'm sure.

I've thought about the same thing. It's not too hard to get a highly purified extract of salvinorin from leaf. If you can concentrate it enough I'm sure you could fit enough of it on a blotter (though it would probably be a lot bigger than normal lsd blotter hits).

I've read that Salvinorin A doesn't absorb well in your mouth from a blotter.

How about snorting salvinorin A crystals or extract? (You may bash me now...)

A standard Salvinorin A dose is 500mcg, so it would be kinda hard to dose. And I don't know if it would be absorbed through the nose.

Why not use some strong (15-20X) leaf extract like chewing tobacco? That way you wouldn't have to put near as much leaf material in your mouth to get the desired effect. If your leaf extract is good, you should get some good results this way. I've tried the quid method using regular leaves and was very dissappointed with it, and the method where you make an oral tar (gummy) is just too messy.

That is sort of interesting.... you mean mix some chewing tobacco and the salvia together to form a not so bitter blend? I think you could just hold your nose and tough it out with the quid method, doesn't the taste fade after a short while?

The taste isn't that bad, its just a little bitter. The problem with quids is that you have to use so many leaves that by the time youre halfway done there's green drool running down your chin and you're damn near choking on the leaves! If you used extract you wouldn't need to mix it with tobacco - but there is fiberglass in some dip (Kodiak) that cuts your lip up, so maybe if you put just a little pinch of tobacco with the salvia it would speed the process up.

I read a report a while back about a guy extracting Salvinorin A and snorting it and being blown away...so I'm sure it would work but your right about it being hard to dose
