while checking out a clump of useless fungus, i came across these little guys...  I left a lot of the smaller ones there, can't wait until it rains .  The grass was laydened with moss and mycelium.

I've got a shitty camera, but the bluing is very intense...  very.

Awesome find, were those found from an area which gets watered regularly?

Thanks, i can't wait to eat em! I live near Issaquah... No, the area did not get watered regularly. However, i noticed that they were not growing throughout the lawn, only on the portion of the lawn that was on a slope and constantly shaded.

Considering we are back to bone dry weather, that is a very nice find. I think the fog/dew we have been having overnight/early morning may be helping things.

Could you get some habitat photos? It'd be nice to see one of those 1000 word photos.

Again, nice find.

ConcreteFeet, are you familiar with Issaquah and Redmond? that is generally where I am hunting... Fall City and duval sometimes. But generally I stay around Issaquah because I live so close to it. These were found in what would be considered Issaquah in a neighborhood built around a golf course.

heh, I think concrete is from out of state, so he probly has no idea where you're talking about.

Issaquah is a city 20 miles or so east of seattle.

Props on the baeo find , I went out looking for a bit today and found nothing but shaggy manes, some kind of agaricus and a few random LBM's.  Lawn shrooms hate me :frown:, but if the forecast is accurate I predict cyan season is just around the corner ....

Good hunting!

DH

i'm wanting to build a list of general locations for my personal records so i can get a more realistic picture of the actual distribution of many species.

dont trust the weather services that far, they are often wrong that it may rain and change the forecast around two days especially for something like thursday. unless there is a big front coming through, but then theyre often off by a day or so too.

but its nice to think positively, you know.
