Hi Shroomers -- First-timer here. I prepped & pressure-cooked my BRF jars last night. In a flush of enthusiasm, I made 18 jars. Today I thought better of this potential waste of spore syringes if my noob-ness interferes with success. I inoculated 6 of the 18 jars & will wait to see how they do before inoculating more jars.
Can I safely save & use the unused jars in a few weeks? If so, is there a proper way to store them -- freezer, or dry area somewhere? Should I pressure cook them again before using? Or best to discard substrate entirely & start over when I'm ready to do another grow?
Thanks for any any help you can give me!

Hi, Im new in the forum, Im trying my first growing and I think its going bad because my room temperature is about 30cº some days was about 32Cº on day and 28cº on night(here is summer and I didnt think that would be of this way) and maybe I have too much CO2 on my small greenhouse, the mushroms (Mc Kennai left -Golden Teacher right) look like they are aborting and stop growing and look like dry too, I have photos, Can you guys give me your opinions or if I should cut and refructificate now the weather is colder? Thanks you all from Undercity (Spain)

what's your plan, Leois? If you wanted to grow bulk, you should have taken the care to do it yourself. Get agar, prep plates, swipe plates from prints using sterile swabs in an SAB, clean growth. Then, get jars, make lids, get grain, prep spawn, PC appropriately. Use clean agar wedge from plate to inoculate grain jars. Make monotubs, spawn to monotubs once jars are fully and cleanly colonized… profit. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/19140341#19140341

Hello fellow Shroomerites :-) I've spawned substrate (1:4 ratio) with psilocybe cubensis Hawaii (in rye grains) @ 23 September. It's the first time I've mixed and pasteurized the substrate myself. From what I've read, after 2 weeks, so around 7 oktober, the mycelium will be ready to receive the casing and after it has been colonized for 20% I should mist &fan and may have some mushrooms around 20 oktober or so. If this time schedule is correct, after the first flush the mycelium may not want to wait with the second flush or be without maintenance during my holiday (I am away from 24-30 Oktober).
So I would like to know if it works to let the mycelium consolidate until 31 October and apply the casing then? Thus if it is good to have it growing for one month and a week and start casing and flushing after that.
If so, should I add extra water during this period or do anything? Maybe lower the incubation temperature? I now have it @25C in a mixture of cow manure compost with vermiculite, coco coir and gypsum mix.

Greetings everyone! I'm fairly new to the world of mushrooms however growing up on a farm I've seen tons of them but never messed with em any. I've always enjoyed mushrooms on pizza but that was about the extent of it until recently. Been looking around and reading a lot on this site, thanks for all the great info I've found so far. I'm mainly studying up on the health benefits of shrooms at the moment. I've been fighting depression off and on for over 20 years now. Used to take anit-depressants but have been off them for 6 years now. Found out about the benefits of shrooms and gave em a try with a friend last weekend, I haven't felt this good mentally or emotionally in years!! I was amazed at how well I felt after just that one trip, and still amazed at how well I feel nearly a week later. I plan on doin a lot more research on the various species in my area and goin shroom hunting with a buddy that knows what to look for.
