True,, but I still like to discuss it because it would be so much fun to watch a 1 on 1 playground game with 2 superstars like that.

I think KD would win.

I would like to see prime Kobe V prime KD. Or Steph Curry and KD.

Damn. The All-Star game was pretty fucking dope. The 1st quarter where Griffin had like 8 dunks was nasty. The whole game was just a great uncontested dunk and 3 pointer clinic besides the 4th quarter.

There were so many fun plays but this one was my faborite:

“the servant"

KD is legit as hell, I’m definitely pulling for him to get a ring this year.

Lol. I was just reading that a few minutes ago. I still like "Durantula."
I guess he never embraced that name.

Can't wait to see Westbrook come back on Thursday to play against the Heat.

Finally get to see that KD/LbJ matchup again.

This year's All Star Weekend was such a disappointment.

The all-star game was really fun to watch I thought.

The dunk contest was was one of the worst of all time just because of the format. They need to do away with it until they get all superstars in there doing amazing dunks without dumbass gimmicks.

Everything else was just mediocre IMO. 3 point contest was uneventful as always...Celebrity all-star game was funny to watch for a few minutes...

What would you guys do differently for all-star weekend to improve it if you were the commissioner?

Maybe they could have a defensive MVP award that comes with a 100 grand or something.

I also think they should adjust the height of the rim for the dunks. Even lower like an 8 foot rim but judged on how much shit they can do in the air for the distance. And then on the other hand an 11 and 12 foot rim.

For slam dunk contest I actually really liked the west vs. east idea. Give the same first round for the teammates to show off some skills.  Next round, one player from the east vs. the west as it was this year. Although, I think there should have been ONE MORE round after the 3 winners were chosen from the 6 participants.  Give the 3 winners a chance to give it their all this round.  THEN let the people send in the votes after the final round is finished. I never found it fair for one individual to score someone's dunk; it should be a whole collective of people voting.

All in all, not change very much, just add one more final round.

As for the 3 point contest.......REALLLLY Steph?! You lost to Marco Bellinelli.......nuff said

The dunk contest (and all-star weekend in general) is a gimmick anyway.

Happy there is some real basketball back on now.

Yea it's a gimmick, but when I watch the late 80's & early 90's all-star events on NBATV they are really fun to watch. Probably because Jordan would do the dunk contest.

Yea if there was a monetary prize for any of the events I'm sure a lot more stars would want to be part of it as well as they would try a lot harder.

I don't think it was a bad idea, but they just didn't execute well at all. I honestly had no idea when it was over. It just looked like everyone was fucking around on the court.

I personally would like to see 8 or 10 players (east vs west) dunking in a playoff bracket style contest. Each player would get 3 tries to hit their dunk per round.

Check out this video below. If any of the dunks in the contest were remotely close to anything in this video, the contest would be fucking amazing. As of right now they really aren't doing anything different than what they do in regular games...the only difference is the stupid gimmicks like Shaq sitting on a chair this year or Blake Griffin jumping over the Kia last year. That's just so ridiculous to me since they aren't making the skill level any higher, only putting sponsored objects in the way.

Why would they do that?

Thats retarded. If one of my teams best players got hurt trying to show off in a bullshit game no one cares about i would be so fucking pissed. Atleast the NFL’s is at the end of the season.

Shit. It's not like I'm asking them to take charges, put themselves in the way of dunks/layups, or even run any complicated defensive schemes, but damn. The least they could do is contest a shot.

You know just like jump up with your hands up when the opposing player is shooting lol. It seemed like when they were on D they just looked around and followed the player they were covering.

If you watch any All-Star games before 2000, they made an effort to contest jump shots. Every year since then the score has been getting higher. Wasn't it like 350 combined points this year? That's craziness.

Still enjoyed watching it like I said.
But if I wasn't stoned out of my gourd, I probably would've changed the channel.

I didnt watch the actual game tonight but just saw the boxscore of tonights games and saw that LeBron dropped 61 points on the Bobcats with 7 boards and 5 assists.

What a fucking baller

That series between Indiana and Miami is going to be epic. I cant wait for NBA playoffs to start. Indiana isnt careful they are going to end up losing that #1 seed. Miami has been playing the best ball in the NBA over the past month

Adam Silver didn't approve of LeBron's black facemask.

Lebron went off. Thats gotta be a career high right?

Big Al had a killer game too though, 38 points. I can’t believe the Jazz didn’t keep him around, or Millsap. I can get letting one or the other but damn, both have had some pretty sweet year.

Was at the game last night. Haven't seen the crowd here that into a game since last year's playoffs.

Watching LBJ night in and night out is a privilege and last night was beyond that. It's like he was at morning shoot-a-around. I took a few pictures and videos I gotta upload for you guys.
