Alright, I found this clump of mush on the side of my house on red mulch from under a stepping stone. There was plenty of them popping up from the mulch.



They bruised REALLY orange... here's a picture of when I ripped a piece of the cap off... they are laying down in the background and you can see the bruising.

Might be a lepiota or an agaricus. What color are the gills on a mature mushroom?

We will definitely need a spore print (on white paper) to identify these. A detailed description will help, too.

Reddish bruising is typical of many members of both Agaricus and Lepiota. There are also other mushrooms that bruise reddish, but those are most obvious possibilities for yours.

More pictures of them, more specimens, would help.
