Versicolor, the sub i used was 50:50 woodchips and sawdust, steam pasteurized and one whole quart of spawn.
I also surprised but happy to get results from MS so easily ()
Thank you, Trout

inspired by all the pics everyone is posting of their awesome edible grows. i've been REALLY bad about taking pictures as of late, will try to be better about that, lol. here's one of the lion's manes i have in the FC right now:
have a straw block of Pl. pulmonarius fruiting in there now too; as well as an SRA block that's almost done colonizing it's casing layer, a black poplar block that's ready for a casing tomorrow and will be ready for the FC in a few more days, a shiitake block that is fully colonizing and browning alright (but started popcorning quite a bit a few days ago ) and 10 more grain jars of each fully colonized and ready to move to substrate, lol. grain masters of reishi and maitake are ready to go also, so should have some substrates of those going pretty soon as well.

Armillaria. Sweet, never seen anyone try that one.

Forgotten in a bag by a cold sliding glass door These were just birthed yesterday when the pic was taken so all that growth was invitro. Hopefully they STAY happy.

My first try failed, got green in the bag after like 4 months. This was my second attempt, I think moving the bag to a colder area after several months helped initiate fruiting.

Looks like they have a sweet setup down there in VA. We've been following them for a while on Facebook, but not sure if they're on Shroomery or not.

Those ones in the bottom pic look good for eating but I'd let one of them go a little longer, till the edges of the cap turn up, and try to print that one. Is that the sporeless strain you're testing?

yep, i'm really curious if the grower i cloned it from was right.
they were standing in a martha with a lot of sun on them these few days, i think that's the main reason they have less meaty caps.

these pinned within 2 days after i put them warmer from outside to inside. last time i fruited them was in summer, so i'm thinking they thrive in a bit warmer climate

Ah, good to know - you think they might be a pulmonarius rather than ostreatus? Maybe why mine are taking their time.
