My fellow hunter and I just came back from a mid-day hike. Looking for you guys to help identify some of the ones we found. Great day to be out with the rain past in CFL. I am pretty sure the ones on the bottom are all Cubes but I was really wanting to make sure because this is my first ever pick! It was a blast and I found about 8 different kinds, these were the ones I really wanted to make sure about though.

nice finds! the 7 on the bottom of picture one are cubes the rest can be thrown away.

Not Gymnopilus, they are a Laccaria species.
Look on wood for Gymnopilus.

Extremely common the last few months. Almost any trailside will be littered with these orange Laccaria.

Can anyone ID this mushroom? A Chemistry Grad. student buddy of mine is gonna run an NMR on it to see what kind of compounds are in it. I'm gonna go back next week and collect some for spore prints and more photographs.
Habitat: Sandy trail bordering Pine Flatwoods. Locality: C. FL.

It's a Lactarius mushroom which looks quite similar to candy caps which I have found down here several times. Dry them quickly and thoroughly. If they smell very very strongly (like... from the other room strong) of maple syrup and/or Indian curry then that is them.

but if their milk turns yellow after exposure to oxygen toss them. if they stay clear/white after like 20 seconds and smell like maple, theyre candy caps

Some candy caps don't smell like maple syrup until thoroughly dried. And the ones I usually find really don't have much milk at all.

I picked these last weekend. All said and done they totaled 2.60z cracker dry.
I couldn't be happier

Dying set up: Shallow baking pan filled with silica cat litter inside a tyvek envelope and direct fanning, then into an old pressure cooker containing desiccant and sealed for two days.
Can't wait to use these for wall insulation and other industrial purposes

Today was a total win. I'll post the rest later, along with a couple hunts worth of photos that I didn't get to upload the past couple weeks.
