I have a lot of deer ticks where I live.
I found three on me last year and one on my girlfriend.
The worst is finding one clinging to your balls.
That shit gives me the eebie jeebies. :thehellwasthat:

Ball ticks.  Unfortunately I can commiserate.
:cannotunsee:
Haven't seen any since I moved west though.  They were everywhere in PA.

It actually was entertaining and funny.  It wasn't taken seriously by anyone including the performers.

I removed 10 in one day. Not 10 brushed off, 10 that had attached after diving into a cold stream in April to try and get them off me. Luckily they are pretty easily pulled out within the first few hours of attachment, but it gave me the heebie jeebies fo sho. I'm pretty sure they were hanging out in a bird's nest I found on the ground and carried around with me :facepalm3:. But yeah ball ticks aren't fun.

That's what I like about living in a northern climate, not many bugs or mosquitoes, zero cockroaches.
I've had only one tick on me in the last 15-20 years.
I pick them off my dog occasionally but as long as I keep Advantage on him in the warmer months, I don't have to bother with them at all.
Ticks are way worse than spider IMO, at least spiders aren't parasitic.

There are roaches in Oregon for sure.  You live clean enough to not have them but the apartments I'm working on have some and a lot of other rentals I've remodeled have had infestations.  They are fairly small but they are there!

The one that bugs me he most is huge buzzing flies that bite when I'm in the woods.  They circle around and around me and try flying in my nose a shit.  I HATE THEM! Flies and seeing Xylaria sp.  are my worst nightmares!

 Only two ball ticks so far. I'd probably be dead from DEET poisoning by now if I ever managed 10 ball ticks in one day. Apparently if you get them out within 24 hours, they can't transmit Lyme, but I still ended up getting tested a couple months after that experience. I've seen it get really really bad for two of my friends (severe arthritis, heart palpitations, and an all-over rash resembling ringworm), who fortunately seem to be completely cured now. It's scarily common here, but luckily treatment is cheap and pretty effective up until very late stages of the disease.

One time, I had one at the very tip of the dick, maybe a little inside. That's some messed up stuff right there. I couldn't hit the toilet with a solid stream for a week. I had to pee like a bitch.
