pasteurization question

I'm currently pasteurising a batch of horse poo on my gas stove. About half an hour ago I left it for 10mins and came back to find the thermometer hovering just under 85deg C (185deg F). I brought it back down to the optimum range but what I want to know is have I already killed off all the good bugs or am I still good to go?

you'll still be good i have pushed mine up to 190F for about thirty mins. and had no  problems that i could see. hope this helps you :smile:

yea dood just be a lil careful hehe u know in the pot of hot water.... the water by the metals gonna be way hotter than the water in the center... soo its gonna be kinda difficult to get a perfect tempurature... anywhere between 160-190 will be good enough... dont worry about 10 minutes, im sure ur stuff is just fine, if anything, ur safer than if u didnt leave for 10 minutes heheh :smile:
