 Dreadlocks!!! i don't know what to do

i have had dreadlocks for three years now but I am getting kind of a cabin fever or claustrophobia with them.
My question is, since they take 3 years to mature, will cutting them make me have to wait three more years to get them again?
i like them and trim them but just wandering what you guys think.

If you cut your dreadlocks off then your hair will be short, it's going to take years for your hair to grow back to that leng then have to dread again. are you mentally challenged?

For reals, I just shaved my head after growing it our for 4 or 5 years. Shit started driving me nuts.

Fuck the haters, do what you want man. People are always gonna shit on dreadlocks. I think some people totally pull them off and aren't just sterotypical hippies, and even if they are, if they are happy with the way they look, thats all that matters in my book.
I've got decently long hair, not dreaded, and I even get shit for my hair. fuck em
I'd say if its bothering you that much, then just cut them off, but prepared to look much different. Might be worth keeping them for another 2 or 3 weeks to see if your really set about getting rid of em.

The speed your hair grows and dreads up is pretty much constant so if it took you 3 years to get as far, it will take 3 years again if you cut them off completely, and half that if you halve their length.

idk. i mean i smoke and am vegetarian except for fish but Idk what rasta means.
When I am on dmt or shrooms, I think of that as rasta or god. But that's just cause it feels so good so I say god must be behind this.

I just started mine. I'm ~7 months in at this point and they are just now starting to look acceptable. I'm in it for the long haul. I have maybe 40 or so smaller dreads, no hair logs on my head. And, I really don't like it when wise asses call me Rasta, or some name that has to do with Rastafarianism. Selassie is no messiah.
