Spore Syringes

Hey all,
When I bought my spore syringes and they arrived, I could not see any spores in the liquid, but after using them my jars are colonizing, so they must have been in there.
But some of the syringes people put up on here you can see loads of black dots throughout.
Does that just mean my spore syringes will only contain a tiny amount of spores? and the ones I see on here with loads of black dots throughout contain alot?

Yes, it means exactly that.
Tho you dont need cloud of spores for inoculation, clear liquid without visual spores works good. Actually some people prefer less concentrated syringes because the most dominant strains can grow faster and more efficient (thats what i read somewhere but now that i think about it im not sure how true it is).
The point is that clear syringes work great.

Thanks, I remember the vendor telling me that the spores are microscopic so can't see them, but when seeing spores in other peoples syringes I was a bit dubious but so far working fine

I think some vendors feel that they should make their syringes spore heavy to satisfy customer expectations. You don't need that many spores but they may feel that people want to "see" the product.

u want less spores. less dikaryons, less strains, less MS mess when it comes to fruiting.
when i noc up agar plates from a print, i touch ever so lightly. I'm aiming for ten spores. i get ten thousand.
if it is colonizing, ur good. less dikaryon competition, PROBABLY (not definitely) better results.

The concentration of spores has nothing to do with colonization speed.
That is all based on genetics, moisture content of the substrate, and the nutrients levels in the substrate.
