I would be pretty pissed off if i was enjoying a nice hike with a lady friend in a canyon and some jerkoffs starting blaring shitty techno music near the trailhead with no knowledge of how far that shit actually carries.
Its kinda like how when your backcountry skiing in a nice remote scenic area then suddenly a horde of snowmobilers descend miles away, but still succeed in ruining your day

I shouldn't of assumed you missed the point of nature. How could I possibly know for sure what the point of observing nature is at all?
I live in a city where people are constantly blaring music, I graduated from a high-school thats hallways and often classrooms where constantly bloated with cell phone speaker music, so I'm jaded towards this behavior in general.
Sometimes when I'm hiking I hear loud country music and I always end up picking up beer cans and shotgun shells.
Music is my favorite thing man has ever invented, that being said; it's my believe that if your goal is to observe nature and in the process enjoy the abstract thought processes and the elation of returning to the source of life it evokes you would be more successful if remembrances of humanity were kept to a minimum. opinion
If your in public use gosh darn headphones if everyone wanted to hear music they'd be wearring theirs too. Noise pollution is real.
peace,
shep
No problemo. But yeah, no plans to disrupt wildlife or the natural atmosphere for other outdoorspeople. I just want to listen to some tunes with my friends once in a while as we perambulate through narnia.

Reasonable, that sounds pretty awful.

I agree somewhat. As far as I can remember, I've never been anything other than a human. A human perspective is the only one from which I've ever experienced anything, so I must reason that every experience I have is from the perspective of a human; since I'm the one having it, I must be a human. Any abstract thought processes will nonetheless be very human, and any elation I feel will only be possible because humans have the capability to experience the feeling of elation. Every experience I have is intrinsically reminiscent of the fact that I'm a human. So it makes sense to me that the effect of any extra remembrances of humanity will be negligible compared to the fact that it's something which I'm constantly reminded of and unequipped to forget. Enjoying the abstract thought processes and the elation evoked by returning to the source of life is a pretty central reason I like backpacking for sure though, I really like the way you put that.

Yeah, I'd be pissed if that happened to me too...
Your analogy doesn't really make sense though. The thread is about a small bluetooth speaker, to be used in remote forested areas, where soft soil and dead leaves absorb sound and trees are there to obstruct it. A horde of motorized vehicles in a wide open, smooth landscape is a little different.

haha, you have snowmobilers I have air boaters and 4x4. Snow boarders, rednecks, and Christians should all be required to take a heroic dose alone in the dark before purchasing these toys that effect everyone. Actually all humans should be required to do at least 5grams once of age. haha "horde" thats an awesome description

Ya true, i live in mostly dry climate where all the nice hikes are in canyons so noise definitely carries. Techno would drive me insane, and scare away all the wildlife.

$99 on eBay.
Just got mine in the mail today. $84, free shipping, from eBay. This thing freaking rules. It sounds great quiet, has the capability to be way louder than necessary, plus it ACTUALLY HAS DECENT BASS. I'm pretty much blown away. Thanks once again for the recommendation dude
