I don't have a whole lot to say about this. I preordered this game forever ago, and have been regretting it...
I am willing going to go back into a game that has given me PTSD. Dark Souls was just such a beautiful game. I can't wait to go back.
I am prepared to die.

I was actually kind of excited because I thought I was getting a ride to school, but now that I have a car and responsibilities I'm like HOLY FUCKING SHIT, DARK SOULS 2 IS COMING OUT! :O

They finally added voice chat into the game, as per a developer interview in the latest GameInformer (MGS is on the cover).
Dark Souls is on par with Ocarina of Time. Remember when we were kids and played that? I literally am counting the days.

Yeah I'm excited for DS2. Should be a lot of fun! I love the difficulty of these games. Punishes you for being a noob, rewards you for knowing how to play.
It comes out sometime in March right? I completely forgot about this game coming out... awesome!
I can't wait to roll another pyromancer maining a Zweihander or its equivalent in DS2

No it doesn't... and I've played just about everything you can play in Dark Souls. My favorite playstyle is heavy 2handed, so much fun just crushing your enemies.

Katana was pretty dope too... I'd say Katana and Scythes were my runner ups if I wanted to change it up.
I tried to get into bows, but it wasn't worth it the damage was sad lol

After 200 or 300 hours I became a save state hacker, with infinite HP lol. No remorse!
I beat that game release, before they did the patch. It was so fucking hard... took me 75 hours lol.
Played for over 500 hours. It is an insane game, love it.

I ran into a few guys with infinite health pvping, it was funny because I still killed one of them by backstabbing them off a cliff haha. Only a few though out of tons and tons of pvping and I just leave if I find out they are.
Never needed any cheats, thought the game was easy enough as it was. It was all just reaction timing. You could play any kind of character and be successful (minus bow users, they suck) in PVP and in the game

I have a checklist written down of all the stuff I needed to do to platnium but I put the game down just before the last boss, cause I was like "eh I guess I did the hardest part" and "I don't feel like hunting for rare drops anymore..."
Did it all with a handaxe and tons of magic/pryomancy.

I'm super hyped for Dark Souls 2, I probably won't play it because I have no skill but the day it comes out I'll be spending all day on Twitch watching other people play it, and eating Little Debbie's Swiss rolls. A whole box.

I 1000'd the original game. I did not get the DLC. I appreciated the cryptic nature of the game. Maybe one day I will check it out.

Damn that sucks, the DLC is cool too but I get what you are saying 15$DLC is a lot, but if you have nothing to do it's worth it.
I played the game last year for a few months so after about half way I started using strategies a lot. It'll be hard for me not to do that with this one, but it's not like I'll have to rush the game anyway.
I used them mainly to get past a few tricky parts and to figure out if I had missed anything important along the way afterwards. heh...

Yes im definitely on the hype train for DS2. its just an all round wonderful game, a wonderfully difficult game but it feels so satisfying to wipe the floor with Gwynn at the end. DIE FUCKER.
15$ DLC tho? i got the DLC plus the game for like 8 bucks on steam lol.

Yeah Steam had a mega sale recently, lol. Xbox is pretty jewish with their pricing.. it was on sale once, but like i said, im not interested in the DLC any more. I would just rather play Dark Souls 2.
Also, fuck the Pendant, lol. that shit did shit!!!!

Most of them did nothing actually, one of them was even mistranslated as a recocery item rather then a health booster

Source? I remember reading that it was set after Dark Souls, so far into the future that the events of the original game were long forgotten.. but now I can't find where I read that :/
