I was checking on 50/50 case since it not overlayer but, The case layer start pulling away from case walls and pins start popping up all around edge between case and caselayer. But, None in the middle. I was begin to wonder its because I keep mist it everyday to keep it moist to prevent it from dryng? Or Were it normal the outside edge comes first before middle part do? Note: Outside case walls are tape black. Thanks.

Mycelia pulling back from the sides means its driing out. - It's probably been pre-pinning stage for a bit longer, or it's your second flush , right? Pinning at the sides is common, as the humdity is higher there than at the top. You should try misting more thoroughly throughout the day. (Not the casing, the air) How often do you mist?(Casing AND Air)

True but, it was the first pinhead development. I only mist it only few time per week since the small case are place inside the fruiting chamber and with Perlite suround outside case walls in order to keep humidity level staying at 92-96%. Should I inject sterile water inside layer?

Just a question, how much are you SUPPOSED to mist? I do it like 3x/week and fan like 10 times/day.

well, it should be ok , when only misting. How deep is your casing layer? If it's too deep , it takes ages for the myclium to show itself. @shroombad: you want the mycelia to colonise the casing up to under just the surface. For that it has to be wet- also under the surface. You should give it a heavy misting before this stage, and check every day if it's still moist (not with puddels though!), if not mist it. - The idea is to keep it air-shut with an luminium-foil cover in this phase. The misting should not continue in the pre-pinning phase, as knots and pins dont like water. Try stopping to mist in this stage, and only do so occasionally. Usually the moisture the shrooms get from under the casing should be enough. for more info check the faq. Hope it helps, jazz
